‘Wot u call it?’ was the 2004 hit that stamped ‘Grime’ as its own music genre. Written, produced and performed by British MC Wiley who is also acknowledged as the Godfather of Grime. Coming from the UK Garage Crew ‘Pay As You Go‘ he went on to have his own crew ‘Roll Deep‘, with members such as BBC 1xtra’s DJ Target, introduced Dizzy Rascal and was instrumental in ‘Boy Betta Know‘ which launched the career of the likes of Skepta and JME.
